Quad Quad Corporate rebrand View Details
BRIEF: Corporate branding for an innovative architect/developer and subsequent branding across their property portfolio. RESPONSE: This entrepreneurial firm of architects had taken the bold move to develop their own residential property in the London borough of Richmond. However, the subsequent fragmented branding across the different parts of the business – Quad Architects, Quad Projects – was having a divisive effect. Our strategic recommendation was to unite the businesses under one single Quad brand, positioned as ‘Future Classics’, with an identity that we designed to reflect their bold, modernist architectural style. This then acted as a quality tag to each of the individual developments, which we named and branded in accordance with the type of development and target market.
Jo Robbins Jo Robbins Brand identity and packaging design View Details
BRIEF: Positioning, branding and packaging design for a premium, unisex range of cosmeceutical skincare products. RESPONSE: Based on our research of the skin rejuvenation market, we helped reposition Jo Robbins, renowned skin expert, as Skin Architect, offering the unique benefit of a unisex range of products that help create ‘Strong Skin’. This is supported by an identity that forms an interlocked DNA strand icon from the brand’s initials, coupled with bespoke letterforms that we created for the branding. The packaging exudes premium cues; produced on a dense black, smooth skin-like surface, with hot-foiled metallics, and silk-screened lettering. The flowing technical pattern on the packing, which is also foiled, emphasizes the skin strengthening properties of the products. The packaging is designed to appeal to men and women alike. TESTIMONIALS: “These guys really researched the skincare market to come up with a fabulous brand positioning for my new retail range of skincare. Their strategic guidance and creative approach to packaging has resulted in a stand-out, premium design. When it came to production, they helped us source unusual materials and finishes and recommended manufacturers in the UK that could fulfil our every need.” Jo Robbins CEO
Mackinnon and Saunders Mackinnon and Saunders Corporate rebrand View Details
BRIEF: This world-class puppet and animation workshop collaborates with the likes of Tim Burton. Now producing shows of their own, they approached us to reflect the broader scope of business with a distinctive brand. RESPONSE: Whilst Mackinnon and Saunders are top of their league in puppet making and animation, feedback from the media world told them that their brand image was punching well below its weight. We worked with them to develop a new positioning ¬– “Bringing ideas to life” – and used this as a springboard to design a brand identity full of character. Individual business cards offered the directors a talking point at key media events such as the annual Cannes Mipcom. festival.
Oxford Scientific Films Oxford Scientific Films Corporate identity View Details
BRIEF: Create a new corporate identity that reflects OSF’s diverse factual television program making. RESPONSE: Oxford Scientific Films is a BAFTA award-winning producer of natural history, science, history and contemporary factual programmes. With offices in London and Sydney, this international company has clearly moved beyond its Oxford origins and its science remit, so our brief was to update the brand, focusing on the OSF acronym. Our strategic positioning – “Quality Factual with Diversity” – gave rise to branding made up of various letters photographed in the built environment. The new identity has now been applied to the company’s corporate literature and website, uniting the London and Sydney offices. To strengthen the concept of diversity, team members chose their own combinations of letters from a bank of images photographed by Absolute Zero Degrees. TESTIMONIALS: “Absolute Zero Degrees are simply brilliant. They completely got our brief and came up with design ideas which exceeded our expectations. To top it all they are a pleasure to work with as well as exceptionally creative.” Clare Birks, Chief Executive
