Synopsis

Central to Priestmangoode’s work is the belief in finding simple solutions to complex design problems. Specialists in 3D branding, our day-to-day business is about delivering creative, effective and innovative design solutions for a wide range of clients from hotel environments to aircraft interiors and the work ranges from initial strategy and concept design through to design detailing for production. From the smallest high-tech product to the interior of the biggest aircraft in the world, Priestmangoode’s stimulating creative process is at the centre of its design philosophy, that, ‘design should not just be about styling , but about making products and services better.’ In parallel with consultancy work, we like to generate our own concepts such as Post A Phone and Water Pebble. This work aims to address problems faced in everyday life and prompts public discourse about design. By approaching all projects from a product design standpoint, we keep the user at the heart of every brief and importantly, draw on our experience from other sectors to deliver new innovations on projects right through to production and installation.

Healthcare The Recovery Lounge View Details
BRIEF: The UK's healthcare system is the envy of the world but it is still not running as fast, clean and efficiently as it should. There is an ongoing debate about rethinking and improving the role of NHS hosptials and patient care in the UK, yet few of hypotheses articulate how this could be done. At Priestmangoode, we believe that clever design thinking could address some of the most pressing issues. The health manifesto provides a raft of principles, ideas and practical design solutions to show how. RESPONSE: Priestmangoode's Health Manifesto – is the first in a series of manifestos in which we examine the way clever design thinking could be employed to improve products and services – is published today. Using our experience of working in the commercial sector, we’ve identified a number of practical ways in which design could be used to improve the health service including one great example of how, by applying the same design principles we use to create first class airline cabins and hotel rooms, we could create an intelligently designed and beautifully crafted recovery room to take the strain off the queues for hospital beds and improve quality of wellbeing during recovery.
